Summering in the East Coast 2014

We began the summer fun season with a trip to the East Coast.  This was the first time we went the distance on an airplane with A.  Oh the dreaded 5 hr flight that every parent of young children fear.  But at the end of the flight, A was still chipper and not screaming up a storm.

Of course, if we went to see one set of grandparents/great-grandmother, we had to see the other great-grandmother (my mom's mom).  This of course required a train ride!

Pullman 2014

In April 2014, we took a trip out to Pullman, Wa.  Pullman, you might ask, where is that and why are you going out there?  E got a faculty position offer from Washington State University, Pullman.  As part of the "convincing the spouse" plan, they flew up out to Pullman to visit the school, talk to some potential lab what I may be working with, and to check out the Palouse.  This would be the first plane ride for A and boy was he excited!  With a quick drive and we're in Idaho and close to the Snake River and the Clearwater River.  Pretty country.  Nice visit.  However, in the end, that was not the place we landed at.

Yes, Really....It's been over a year since the last post.  you would think nothing really big happened.  Well, things happen, babies grow up to be rambunctious toddlers, folks move, new friends are made, old friends are missed....  So I guess I can do a quickie photo barf of food stuffs.....and A....and then slowly try to catch up on the past year-ish.
